Welcome, friends and future collaborators! Marie here, aka Channel Analog LLC. I’m an NYC-based director, editor, producer, DP and filmmaker.
In 2022 I founded Channel Analog, which, as of 2024, along with the acquisition of the Channel Analog studio & event space, has become a full-time endeavor! As Channel Analog, I seek to make mindful media that stands apart from the daily noise of our chaotic digital ecosystem. The studio space, lovingly known as "Channel Analog HQ", serves as a physical manifestation of those values: A multipurpose creative studio space that prioritizes creativity and community over likes and follows.
I’ve been a multi-hyphenate media professional for a decade, working with a wide range of employers and clients: large brands like Nick Jr. and BuzzFeed as well as independently run powerhouses like UK-based feminist publication, Polyester Zine.
I can provide support across the entire audiovisual production lifecycle:
-creative producing (i.e., pre-pro planning, development, on-set and post-production management)
-video/film direction
-videography/cinematography
-video/film editing
Experimental documentary filmmaking is my passion and primary medium. Since I was young, I've been documenting my surroundings and contemplating our media landscape. I am currently working on two documentary shorts - one about the magical neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn and the other about AI relationships. I am also developing a feature that centers around digital media technology and mindfulness. More on all of those soon!
Smith College is my alma matter, where I double majored in Film/Media Studies and Spanish. There I made my first documentary and spent a year in Córdoba, Spain refining my Spanish language skills.
In my free time I love to read, dance, laugh, watch TV/film, meditate, do yoga, and work on DIY projects. Crafting, working with my hands, making collage art and cultivating my space are extensions of my artistic and meditation practice.
